American Watercolor Society- Interview in AWS Summer newsletter

This year I achieved signature status in the American Watercolor Society (AWS).  This is accomplished by being selected for three of the yearly international juried exhibitions.  The American Watercolor Society is the oldest and most prestigious watercolor society in the world and members include the top watercolor artists in the world.  Getting into the exhibition once is fantastic- getting into it three times is incredibly difficult.

I was asked to write about the honor of receiving AWS signature statue by Robert Fionda.  You can read the article in the latest issue of the Newsletter_Summer_2018.

This month has been crazy, a week long class for 11-16 year olds at the Artspace Summer Arts Program, a pouring workshop at Artventures in Wilson, and a batik workshop at Jerry’s Artarama in Raleigh.

This week I will be traveling to Boone for another batik workshop at Cheap Joe’s for the High Country Watermedia Society followed by a three day workshop at the Florence Thomas School of Art in West Jefferson, NC.

Whew.

I am booking classes and more workshops for 2019.  If your arts organization is interested please contact for classes, availability, and rates.

Sincerely,

Ryan Fox AWS
