First Friday in Raleigh went out with a whimper because of the impending doom (2 inches of snow) brought on by winter storm Helena.  Artspace closed early and attendance was sparse. Georgia Watercolor Society 36th Annual Juried Exhibition

Earlier this month I was returning from a long drive up north (Raleigh, NC to Storrs, CT) to visit family, and attend the American Watercolor Society 148th Annual Juried Exhibition.  My painting “Walk Down the Street- Kathmandu”  was accepted in the AWS show- I couldn’t miss seeing it.  Who knows if I will ever get into another AWS show.  Right?… (more…)

148th Annual International Watercolor Exhibition- American Watercolor Society

Sometimes you need to take a chance.  One of my personal goals as an artist is to submit paintings to the top yearly watercolor shows.  It’s fun to see how your work stacks against the top names in the industry.  It’s  frustrating when you do not get accepted in the show and think-  “I just wasted $xx.xx entering this show.”… (more…)
