I hope everyone had a great time (survived) the holidays and New Year’s Eve.
Friday, January 6th is Raleigh First Friday Gallery Walk. Artspace will be open from 6-10pm. Food, refreshments (including the kind that make you feel tingly) will be available upstairs, and as always- there will be lots of great art by 30+ artists on two levels.
Come visit me in Studio 104. I just finished a series of small relief block cuttings which, in hindsight, I should have never started since, unbeknownst to me, the idiots at Blue Cross/Blue Shield dropped my health care coverage in Novembers (but did not send me a letter until late December tell me about it) because they said I stopped paying. Not true, my payments were supposed to be automatically deducted from my checking account every month.
I guess they were confused during open enrollment when I told them I was switching my plan at the END of 2016. Since they are an organization you cannot argue with, I had no health care until January 1st.
Well’s its 2017 now, and nothing can be worse than last year or Mariah Carey’s performance during New Year’s. So here is to a happy 2017 and a great First Friday in January. Hope to see you.
